Registration Information
The following items are needed:
Copy of child's Birth Certificate
Copy of child's Baptismal certificate
Child's Social Security card
If registering for grades 1-8, a copy of child's most recent report card. (There is usually a waiting list for grades 7 and 8.)
Copies of Standardized test scores (ITBS, OAT)
Copies of discipline records
Copy of lease, rental or mortgage agreement
Copy of recent utility bill
Letter from your Church stating that you are a current, participating and contributing member of the congregation
Copies of any legal agreements regarding custody, shared parenting, etc.
Copies of any specialized learning programs, IEP or service plan written for your child.
Immunization Record (each new entrant to our school is required to have a physical)
The principal (Mrs. Vejdovec) will interview each family seeking enrollment for their child. Call 440-232-1531 for an appointment.
H.S.A. does accept students eligible for Ohio EdChoice scholarships.
Kindergarten Age Cut-off
In general H.S.A. follows the 5 years of age by August 1st guideline of the local Public School district for enrollment in Kindergarten. Exceptions to this requirement are sometimes made. This arrangement would be made after consultation with the school principal.
Tuition for 2009-2010
Parishioners of Our Lady of Hope Parish $2680 (first child)
$2580 (each additional child)
Parishioners of other Catholic parishes pay non-parishioner tuition and are to secure a subsidy from their own parish.
Nonparishioners $3980 (first child)
$3880 (each additional child)
$150 of the above cost will be required to complete registratration. This amount will be deducted from the balance of tuition left to pay.
Uniforms
Clothing items containing the HSA plaid (jumper for girls in grades K-4 and skirt for girls in grades 5-8), maroon polo shirts (boys and girls) over-blouse polos with a banded bottom and vests for girls in grades 5-8 and the gym uniform (students in all grades) must be purchased from Schoolbelles. All Schoolbelle clothing is of excellent quality and wears and holds up very well.

Other uniform items may be purchased in the store of your choice. Slacks for both boys and girls must be of a proper fit. Cargo pants or shorts of that style are not permitted.
